To remove the idle mixture adjustment screw, first screw it in as far
as it will go, and count the number of turns it took.
Now when you refit it later on you can screw it all the way in, then
out the number of turns you counted and it should be in the same place
Unscrew the anti diesel valve
If your car didn't stop when you removed the wire from this. Grab the pin that hangs out the end of it, and pull it out so it looks like the anti diesel valve above..
FINALLY
The carby should be looking pretty bare by now. I sprayed carby cleaner down every hole in the carby, and blasted through every hole possible with compressed air to remove/loosen any dirt in the orifices. This I think is the most important reason for stripping the carby, to clean any dirt etc., out of its various holes.
